The hits keep coming and now number close to 4600.  Are these people I know or accidental hits from the Internet, never to be heard of again?  Are readers truly interested in what I write, or just tuning in for a word or two, then turned off?  I cannot know since the readers are anonymous.

I do check constantly to see from which countries the hits come.  If someone hits, it does not necessarily mean it has been read, but if there are several hits from a country, it MIGHT mean someone is repeating to see my blog- or not.

I do think it is fun, to keep track of the countries hit by this blog.  From January to March 2012, the following countries have newly hit my blog:

Saudi Arabia
Belarus
Qatar
Brunei
Japan
Bangladesh
Moldova
Mexico


Total countries so far, 56.

Of course,  readers from the United States far outnumber any other hits, but I cannot see in which states I am read, or I would record that, too.  Am I a bit OCD?  Maybe.
 Maybe the blog spot just does not keep very good records.

It is analogous to saying, "LOOK!  I have 27 hits at my bird feeder today!" and not describe the hits as 5 squirrels, 3 Mourning Doves, 4 Goldfinch, one Downy Woodpecker, 2 Carolina Chickadees, 2 Cardinals, 5 House Sparrow, 2 House Finch, 2 Starling, and 1 Carolina Wren.

I am very grateful to know from where the hits are originating, and my poster of flags on the kitchen door keeps getting more colorful.  Too bad the older flags are starting to fade.  I should get the flags plastic coated if I intend to continue this hobby.
