It's a blessing and It's a curse
That shiny golden charge card is my life line to so many things, like cash, gas, groceries. Like Monk says, it is a blessing. It becomes my curse, since it is so easily misplaced. For those times I have to call Liz, and cry, "Come find my gold MasterCard!!!!!" Liz had always been able to search the depths of the black hole that is my purse, to surface with the gold card. She can look into the abyss between the front car seats, or the under-radio areas and have a gold card in hand. It is almost as if she has it in her purse, for the week, and just pulls it out when I call for her to find a lost one. I know she has one in there, it is just a question of whether or not HER name is on it, or MINE!
So Friday I used the gold card, and today, Sunday, I could not find it. I called Liz over, she had waffles and coffee with us, and I asked her to "Find my card!" She went for the usual places, first the purse, then the desk, then the car. No luck. I recall getting cash from the ATM, so Liz says, "Maybe you left it the ATM?"
"Of course NOT! I recall using it after that! I wouldn't do that!" We cannot find the card, so I decide to listen to my messages on the voice answering machine. The dates are all wrong, and I have no idea how to correct it. It says, " August 29, 4:29 p.m ", and the message is from the bank. I left my card in the ATM machine. I should come and pick it up. Always something! Sorry Liz, hope the pizza for lunch made it worth your while to come over.
Yesterday Brianna and I baked creepy finger cookies, by using tubes of sugar cookie dough, rolling them into the shape of a finger, putting an almond into the end, baking them, and then drawing red gel blood on them. I did make them too big, and put them too close together. They became one giant cookie! Brianna made a few scream cookies- pretty neat.
She also dressed as Minnie Mouse for a Halloween party. She looked really sweet. What a great idea.

Wes and the 6th grade Superbowl game was Saturday evening, and the game was very exciting. Weslee made two touchdowns, one was 92 yards. The team won 38 to 0. BJ made a flying touchdown, sort of World Wrestling Mania style.
They got a trophy and were so excited to win!
This weekend was so eventful and fun, I insisted we watch a movie and settle down a bit. I said, "I won't watch a 'Jaguar girls' movie." Everyone laughed, since I got 'Cheetah and Jaguar' mixed up.
So I decided if we keep it real quiet, maybe the kids will not find out Halloween is tomorrow night. I told the adults to not mention it, but it appears the kids already knew, and were making plans to go out! I guess I was the only one who was surprised by it creeping up on us so quickly!
...and Liz gets up to leave this evening, and says, "See you tomorrow," and I answer, "Really?" She stares back, and says, "You already forgot it is Halloween? I'll help hand out treats."
